Molise
The region is the second smallest region of
Italy
( the first is
Aosta
Valley) .The landscape is mountainous and is a continuation of the
Abruzzo landscape. Among the southern region
it is the richest of waterways. The region borders on the Adriatic Sea, on
whose coast rises the pleasant city of
Termoli. Agriculture is still a source of wealth to
this part of the country. There are several vestiges of Roman civilization for
istances in Campobasso (
the Capital of the region) ; but there are also examples of medieval
architecture .
My Suggestions:
From Termoli with one hour by
ferry-boat you can easily arrive at the
Islands called “Archipelago of Tremiti” ( under
Apulia Region). These
Islands in the past were used as a prison, but now are an important
attraction due to the clear waters surrounding them. These
Islands are also know as “The Pearls of
Adriatic sea”
